The websites that deliver bouquets to Stavanger, Sandnes and across Rogaland.
Site listing

With around 148,000 inhabitants, Stavanger is Norway's fourth city and the heart of an urban area of more than 230,000 once Sandnes is included. It is the Norwegian capital of the oil industry, and that has a direct consequence for anyone sending flowers: the city has one of the largest international communities in the country. A great many orders placed from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands or France are aimed precisely at expatriates posted here for a few years.
The centre is organised around Vågen, the harbour basin, the Breiavatnet lake and the cathedral. Just to the west, Gamle Stavanger lines up some one hundred and sixty white wooden houses from the eighteenth century: it is one of the best-preserved wooden townscapes in Northern Europe, and its streets are narrow and cobbled. Around it lie Hillevåg and Hinna to the south, Madla and Tasta to the west and north, and Hundvåg on the islands linked by the undersea tunnel. Sandnes, immediately to the south, is a separate municipality: if your recipient lives there, enter Sandnes rather than Stavanger, or the order may be rejected at the postal code check.
The oil sector concentrates its offices at Forus, a large business area shared between Stavanger and Sandnes, and at Hinna Park. These are sprawling sites with numbered buildings and shared reception desks: the company name and building number are essential, and a street address alone will not do. The reference hospital is Stavanger University Hospital, in the Våland district above the centre.
Stavanger runs on Central European Time. From the United Kingdom, subtract an hour from any stated cut-off; from North America, the six to nine hour gap makes same-day delivery hard to secure unless you order the evening before. Sola airport lies about fifteen kilometres out, but note that none of the sites compared here delivers to airport premises.
No. They are two municipalities with separate postal codes, even though they form one continuous built-up area, and delivery sites treat them separately. Check the exact address with the recipient before ordering.
Yes, the quarter is lived in and served normally. The lanes are narrow and partly pedestrian, so the courier finishes on foot. That does not affect the lead time, but it does make the recipient's phone number all the more useful.
Not on the sites we compare: their rates are national and appear as shown in the table above. The region's higher cost of living shows up in the prices of independent local florists, not in those of the networks.
Yes, and it is common in Stavanger given the international population. Every site compared accepts an English message; just check the maximum length, which is often capped at two or three hundred characters.
