The websites that deliver bouquets in Fredrikstad, from Gamlebyen to Kråkerøy.
Site listing

Fredrikstad, with around 84,000 inhabitants, lies at the mouth of the Glomma, Norway's longest river, about a hundred kilometres south-east of Oslo and close to the Swedish border. The city has a rare asset: Gamlebyen, its fortified old town from the seventeenth century, is the best-preserved fortress town in Northern Europe and is still lived in, with its ramparts, moats and cobbled streets.
The river shapes the city. The east bank holds the modern centre and, a little downstream, Gamlebyen; on the west bank, Kråkerøy occupies an island linked by the Fredrikstad bridge, with Gressvik further out. Sellebakk, Torp, Begby and Rolvsøy complete the municipality. A free municipal ferry runs between the banks all day, but it carries passengers, not delivery vehicles: a florist serving Kråkerøy from the east bank goes via the bridge, which lengthens the trip at peak times.
Gamlebyen is not a museum: residents, craftspeople, galleries and restaurants are based there year-round. Deliveries are possible, but traffic inside the ramparts is restricted and the streets are cobbled. Give the full street name and, for a business address, the trading name: the numbering is old and hard to read from the roadway.
Since 2015, emergency care and most hospital services for the region have been concentrated at Sykehuset Østfold Kalnes, which is not in Fredrikstad itself but near Sarpsborg, some fifteen kilometres away. This is worth checking before you order: if your recipient is in hospital, the delivery address will most likely be at Kalnes, in a different municipality, with its own postal code. The former Fredrikstad site still runs outpatient clinics.
The two cities are neighbours and together form the country's fifth-largest urban area, but they remain separate municipalities with distinct postal codes, and delivery sites treat them separately.
Yes, as with any Norwegian hospital, provided you give the ward and room number. Just make sure you enter the Kalnes postal code and not the Fredrikstad one.
Not for you: you are ordering from a site that delivers within Norway, and it is the Norwegian address that counts. Avoid ordering from a Swedish site on the assumption that the border is close, because cross-border delivery then becomes an international shipment, with the delays and fees that go with it.
The lead times in the comparison table apply. For an address in Gressvik or in the more distant parts of the municipality, allow an extra day, particularly towards the end of the week.
